Pre Mother's Day fun started with playing outside in the baby pool, even though it was a little cool... Jason had a blast splashing Scout, while Sara Kate loved on her Daddy. Then, it was inside to paint cards for the grandmothers. Sara Kate wasn't so sure about having her hands painted, so we ended up doing her feet. Jason seems to be a pro at it now though and enjoyed painting a picture and HIMSELF after doing his handprints. We love to paint!!! (Just a hint about the above slide show, the middle arrow zooms in so you can see the pictures better and the side arrows rotate the pics!)

Here are the latest portraits of my babes.... Jason is 2 years old and Sara Kate is 8 months. We made the mistake of going on a saturday afternoon (note to self, never do that again!!!) We waited an hour, the kids were stir crazy and hungry and the place was packed... thankfully, we got these few good ones. I can't believe how fast they are growing!

A day at the farm!!!

Today we went to Oak Mountain Petting Farm!!! We had so much fun petting the baby goats, lambs and baby Donkey.... Jason had never seen an 'ee-hock' (peacock) and was determined to catch one.... "touch it, touch it, you hear it?!?!"
Then, when it turned and called at him, you have never seen that boy turn and run so fast and scream, "donwanit!!!!" We laughed so hard!!! Even Sara Kate got in on the action!!!

Afterward, we came home and Daddy did some work in the yard.... We went on a walk and Sara Kate 'passed out' from the events of the day while Jason tried on Daddy's saftey glasses.... What a great, beautiful day!!!

Weekend Fun!!!

This has been a crazy week that ended with so much fun!!! Momma Sam has had to help all week because of my work and Doctor's appointments... She has been a Godsend. Jason came down with strep throat and a very bad ear infection starting on Tuesday and is just now showing some improvement. Sara Kate has been really pushing those two bottom teeth through and may be working on some top ones!!! Needless to say, both have been pretty pitiful...

Amid all of this, Sara Kate discovered the dog's water bowl and now makes a beeline to it anytime you put her down. She also tried her first pickle... she never flinched and she pitched a fit when we took it away!!! Jason invented his own super hero with a t-shirt over his head, a diaper and his cowboy boots... he is so silly!!!


But, things got better over the weekend though.... Steven and I got to go to Tampa for the weekend to watch the Boston Red Sox play, as we are avid fans... Sara Kate stayed with Buddy, Pops and PawPaw and came home spoiled and so happy!!! Jason spent his weekend with Grandaddy and Momma Sam and had a blast, as usual!!! This morning, when I went to get Sara Kate, she was standing in her crib and grinning SOOO big!!! Now, every time you put her down, she scoots to something and UP she goes!!! Look out world!!! Jason got a dancing Red Socks player that sings and he sings and dances with him.... it is just the cutest!!!

Suprise weekend with Momma Sam & Grandaddy

This past weekend, Steven was sick and I had to work, so.... Jason and Sara Kate had a suprise weekend at Momma Sam and Grandaddy's house (Steven's parents)!!! Jason learned to fly like "Superman"!! "Arms out.. Hands up... FLY!!!"

Sara Kate cut her second bottom tooth and started sleeping through the night!!! What a blessing for this tired Mommy!!!

We are so thankful for Momma Sam and Grandaddy for all the fun we have with them and for their willingness to rescue us in times of need!!!

Play Date!!!

Today we had a play date with our friend, Ella Grace. She and Jason pushed each other on the car, swapped boots and sat and

sang and screamed "cheese" for the camera.

When Ella's mom came to pick her up,

her sister, Cambrie Joy,

and Sara Kate had a mini

play date of their own!

We had so much fun!!!

Sara Kate played so hard she fell asleep at dinner while Jason counted his 'tots'.

We will have to have more play dates!!!

Birthday Cake !!!!

Our sweet Jason turned 2 on March 31!!! It is so hard to believe that our baby boy is 2 years old! He is so big and so smart. We love to sing and play with animals and dinosaurs.... but especially to eat "Birt-day!!!!!" Sissy has totally enjoyed celebrating Bo's birthday too!!!
